Fall Research 2016: Week 11
This week, I discussed the dialogue that I incorporated into the game. We decided to shorten the conversation to create less speech bubbles and condense it to only the information that is most necessary. My next goal was to begin tweaking the scene transitions. The biggest difficulty with these was transitioning between audio from scene to scene. Also, character placement in each scene was a large focus, due to consideration of where the character would be on a phone or tablet screen. I managed to have smooth audio transition from splash screen to intro scene, and from intro to main game-play. I accomplished this by having the audio fade out as the next scene's audio fades in. However, I am currently working on having the audio not restart when transitioning from the splash screen to the option menu. Also, I am experimenting with a victory sound that would play after a player completes a level.
