Fall Research 2018: Week 25
This week our focus was on submitting a poster proposal for the 2018 Grace Hopper Conference, as well as minor updates to our game. I began the week by registering for the conference online. I completed two short essay questions; one about the impact of the conference and its inclusion of women in STEM, another on how I will communicate my experience to others in my community. I also worked on the poster proposal for our poster submission to the conference.
Additionally, we made updates to our DDoS game, specifically the TCP SYN Flooding scene. We improved the functionality of the flow table to display a color and IP address of the related client computer sending ACK packets. It has also been connected to our previous office building scene so that the desktop computer menu allows for transition to both the server room overlay map as well as the TCP SYN Flooding UI.
