Fall Research 2016: Week 12

This week, my partner and I decided to postpone including the victory sound after the completion of a level. We have not yet decided on a sound we both see as suitable, in addition to addressing the technical issue of the victory sound playing over the background sound of the main game-play. Furthermore, this week I researched methods for protection against cyber security threats that could be used as in-game tips after each level. This mechanic brings the teaching concept into play after each level completion. It can also possibly translate into questions in later levels to review what was taught in previous levels. Currently, there is only one tip per level, but we have discussed the possibility of having 3-4 that show up in a random order. For now, this is where the majority of the real world application learning will take place. The game-play brings metaphorical understanding while the tips after completion bring real world understanding.
