Fall Research 2017: Week 20
This week, the focus was on implementing the gameplay for the questions scene. To begin, we found the assets for the cannon and bomb to import into the scene. The first thing that was accomplished was importing the cannon into the scene and creating left and right arrows for the GUI. These will help the player direct the cannon to hit the coins. Next, we imported the coin asset and made clones of it to fill the background. Each coin is equipped with a 2D Collider so that when it is triggered, the question connected to that coin will spawn in. Additionally, I had to go back into the phishing images to rescale them for the new scene setup. Next week, I will focus on completing the setup connection between the coins and questions. Each coin and question will need to be randomized so that each gameplay experience is slightly different. Also, I will research sounds to include for the cannon being fired and the coin being hit.
