Fall Research 2017: Week 28
This week we presented the current build of our game and our research poster during CS/Scholarship day. We received feedback on the game controls, the objectives, and the learning points that came from it. The general response was very positive and the critiques were helpful. One idea presented to us was to develop a way to collect information on players' responses to questions to see how helpful the game is. We would form a sort of database to hold information on how many people complete the game, how long it takes, how many questions they answer correctly and incorrectly, and the overall effectiveness of the game. We also were given the idea of altering the hit box on the playable character so that the maneuverability onscreen is increased. Instead of having the typical box collider, we can do more of a diamond shape to fit the shape of the bird better. I also continued research and development on the survey for the player to complete after the game.
