Fall Research 2017: Week 10
This week I spent time working on game ideas for our newest development. Currently, the idea that we have decided on as a group is a 3D game about defending against DDoS attacks. For my idea, I thought of a game that takes place inside 3 main locations: an office cubicle, a government organization, and a home. At each of these three locations the player will face a different type of DDoS attack: either a volume attack, protocol attack, or application layer attack. After being given information about what each attack is/looks like, the player will then decide how to best defend themselves in each scenario. They will receive guidance along the way as the make their decisions on defense to reinforce positive methods of mitigating attacks.
