Fall Research 2017: Week 15
This week I continued work on our 2nd game scene. The overall goal of this scene is to create a UI environment similar to a computer screen. This will be the focus of the player to manage the DDoS attacks. Once the player selects the computer from the first scene, they will be presented with a computer screen with two buttons, allow packets and block packets. These buttons will maintain the flow of the data packets on the network. Once a DDoS attack starts, an influx of packets will come in 10 at a time, up to 30 at once. It will then be the player's responsibility to sort these packets as quickly as possible to keep the network moving smoothly. Each successful attempt will increase the difficulty of the level. I also began creating text entries for the different components of the office and server room from scene 1.
